How to Dress up when you go for interview in SSB?

Importance of Dressing well for SSB interview
1.A candidate who is dressed well definitely creates first good impression on interviewing officer. It indicates that the candidate looks after himself well and is motivated to do well in life. Remember if you can’t look after yourself well then how will you look after your men as a leader and SSB is looking for potential leaders.
2.There are following points that you need to keep in mind for dressing well for the interview:-
– Wear a light color plain/ striped or checkered shirt with dark color trouser.
– Shirt and trouser should be neat and well ironed.
– Shirt should be neatly tucked in and should not be hanging loose.
– Wear a Coat if it is cold and along with it, it is advisable / preferable to put on a tie. Otherwise wearing of tie is optional.
– However if you are wearing tie, the collar button should be put on and tie knot should be tied properly and should not be hanging loose
– Avoid wearing jeans/ sports shoes and flowery shirt for the interview as it is a formal occasion.
– Put on leather shoes with matching belt
– Shoes should be shining and along with it wear matching socks. Do not put on ankle length or sports socks.
– Take a good haircut and shave your beard prior to going for interview. If you have moustache trim it properly before going for interview.
3.During SSB coaching at Mentors two personal interviews are conducted for each candidate by different interviewing officers . During both interviews the candidate is required to wear formal dress (as highlighted above) to simulate real scenario of SSB.
